Katrina & Rita Response
<Previous

Oct 02, 2005

“Today we relocated back to Lyman MS, just north of Gulfport, to the airport here. The nurses I brought over went out and helped deliver supplies and helped set up a clinic that all of us are going to man tomorrow in ... I believe it is Gulfport.

The flight over was beautiful. We made a stop in Covington to get fuel and the fuel pump would not work - self service pump, so we came on over and it's going to work out fine to purchase here at Shade Tree airport. It's back to being a normal functoning airport. The runway was used a number of times today. It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon with no driving winds or low clouds, like it was when I left here, so it's aviation at its best.

The plan is to man the clinic tomorrow and then Tuesday morning jump in the airplane and fly back to Tennessee. We'll see how tomorrow goes and report on that.”
