Our Women's Team visit Guyana from June 18 to 23. Drs Price, Smith, and Kightlinger, and nurse Wayne Smith attended to the gynecological needs of 23 Amerindian ladies who were brought to Georgetown for these services. By the time the trip was complete, the team had performed 5 hysterectomies (three of which were radical hysterectomies), drained a fluid collection from a pseudomyxoma, and performed more than a dozen therapeutic LEEPs and D&Cs.

During the trip, Stan Brock and Lars Perkins travelled into the interior of Guyana to continue laying groundwork for a future hospital that RAM hopes to build and operate.

While the expedition was underway, Wayne Smith kept a running journal of his experience. You can read it here.
