Tennessee & Illinois
When
volunteering to work on a RAM expedition to Tennessee and Illinois,
out-of-state healthcare practitioner licenses and
certificates are acceptable.
Kentucky, Virginia, Oklahoma, & California
Licensure exemption and/or charitable licenses are available and required for some professionals in the states of Kentucky, Virginia, Oklahoma, and California (please call RAM
for more information).
Texas
Licensed Medical and Dental practitioners from any state may volunteer for Operation Lonestar in Brownsville, TX; however, vision professionals must be licensed in TX
(please call RAM
for more information). |

International
When
volunteering for medical expeditions outside
the United States,
a significant lead time is necessary
to clear credentials with immigration.
Volunteers for
these trips are urged to

Remote Area Medical® (RAM) operates mobile medical clinics (expeditions) in the U.S. and abroad, where free dental, vision, & medical services are provided by volunteer licensed health practitioners on a
first-come, first-served basis.
