Donations can be dropped off at RAM Headquarters, 2200 Stock Creek Boulevard in Rockford, TN
ROCKFORD, TN (June 26, 2018) – Remote Area Medical’s Disaster Relief team continues to provide aid to people and communities around the world affected by natural disasters. This time, RAM is collecting disaster relief supplies to benefit Texans in the Rio Grande Valley affected by recent flooding. A report recently released by the National Weather Service estimates the Rio Grande Valley sustained more than $100 million in damages as a result of severe flooding last week. More than 18 inches of rain fell in some areas in as little as 24 hours.
“There are over one million people residing in the Rio Grande Valley and so many of them have been affected by these horrible floods. It’s particularly distressing because it was just nine months ago that Hurricane Harvey devastated many of these same communities” explained RAM Founder & President, Stan Brock.
RAM Headquarters is accepting drop-off donations of basic living supplies at 2200 Stock Creek Boulevard, Rockford, TN 37853. These items will be transported to the Rio Grande Valley and distributed to people in need by RAM volunteers and staff. The following, high-demand items are desperately needed by individuals and families who have been affected by flooding. Monetary donations are also graciously accepted at ramusa.org/donate or by texting RAMRELIEF to 50155.
