Kens story

Ken went to a RAM Clinic for the first time in 1998. He knows what it’s like to need help and not be able to afford it. When his teeth had to be pulled, he tried to get dentures somewhere else. They never fit right. He stopped wearing them. For four years, he went without.

"I came here hoping for the best and then I walked in and got a number. Thank God for that.”

At the Knoxville clinic, a volunteer dentist from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Amey Patil, used intraoral scanning and 3D printing to build dentures that fit — the same day. Ken walked out of that mobile trailer shaking hands and hugging the people who helped him.
