Clinic Schedule

Based on recently updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations on mass gatherings, RAM has officially suspended all clinic operations scheduled between March 16 and July 25, 2020.

IMPORTANT UPDATES BELOW

Over the past 35 years, Remote Area Medical has provided free medical, dental, and vision care to hundreds of thousands of people through the operation of mobile medical clinics.  RAM operates its clinics in communities large and small, both in the United States and abroad.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As the coronavirus pandemic continues to capture our collective attention, RAM remains dedicated to our mission to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. The decision to suspend clinic operations from March 16 – July 25 was made in the wake of the recently updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations on mass gatherings. RAM continues to prioritize the safety and health of patients, volunteers, and staff.  Please be sure to check your specific clinic locations for important updates and announcements, for some clinics have been canceled or postponed.

Every RAM clinic is free and open to the public.  There are no qualifying questions and ID is not required.  Unless otherwise noted, each clinic will open its parking lot area no later than 12:00 AM with numbered tickets being distributed at 3:00 AM. Clinic doors open at 6:00 AM. This process will repeat throughout the clinic days. In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM’s control, ticketing may occur earlier than 3:00 AM. RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.

    Remote Area Medical has officially POSTPONED the Athens, TN clinic until further notice, due to the current COVID-19/coronavirus health crisis. 

    RAM hopes to reschedule the Athens clinic in the fall of 2020.

    Due to parking limitations, Remote Area Medical plans to distribute tickets at the front door of the facility starting at  4 a.m. Patients are then served in numerical order according to their ticket number when clinic doors open, which typically occurs at 6 a.m.

    Dental, vision and medical services are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic. This event is free and open to the public.

    *Clinic closing time may vary based on each service area’s daily capacity.

    St. Francis, South Dakota @ St. Francis Mission
    Aug 15 – Aug 16 all-day

    Typically, Remote Area Medical opens the clinic parking lot no later than 12 a.m. midnight on the first night of the event. Ticket distribution for the St. Francis, SD clinic will begin at 6.a.m., and patients are then served in numerical order according to their ticket number when clinic doors open, which is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. This process will repeat throughout the clinic days. In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM’s control, ticketing may occur earlier than scheduled.  RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.
