Denture Lab Tech

Headquartered in Rockford, Tennessee, Remote Area Medical – RAM® is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. RAM accomplishes its mission by operating mobile clinics offering a combination of dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals, as well as disaster response and veterinary programs.

  • Disinfection and evaluation of incoming cases
  • Fabrication of gypsum production models of patient impressions
  • Trimming and articulation of gypsum models
  • Fabrication of individually made custom fitting trays for master impressions
  • Setup of artificial denture teeth for patient trails and needed retrials
  • Processing denture base acrylic, finishing and polishing of final cases to be delivered to patient
  • Creating soft night guards for bruxism
  • Complying to OSHA guidelines: chemical identification and labeling, keeping SDS reference materials up to date
  • Performing tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team

Salary for the Denture Lab Tech position is commensurate with experience. RAM offers a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision coverage, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Fundraising Specialist

Job Responsibilities

  • Remote Area Medical’s Fundraising Specialist works closely with the Development Manager to cultivate, expand and strengthen relationships with potential and current donors, including individual, major gifts, corporate, and foundation donors. He/She will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-level funders, developing and executing fundraising strategies, and supporting all fundraising efforts through detailed research and excellent stewardship, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team on all individual, planned, and corporate giving initiatives, including identifying potential major donors, and stewarding these donors.
  • Works closely with the Development Manager and the Clinic Supply Chain Manager to secure in-kind gifts for clinics and other RAM initiatives.
  • Maintains schedule for all fundraising deadlines. Responsible for managing and conducting a full range of activities required to draft, prepare, write, and submit grant proposals and/or requests; letters of inquiry; impact reports; and individual donor solicitations, including, but not limited to, renewal letters, email requests, and unique fundraising campaigns.
  • Conducts necessary research to evaluate prospects for individual, institutional, and corporate gifts.
  • Contributes to the creation of an annual fundraising schedule for the organization and specific programs, including grants and reporting deadlines.
  • Utilizes RAM’s CRM database, Salesforce, ensuring information on donors and prospective donors is accurate and up-to-date. Utilizes Salesforce applications for reporting, analysis, communications and other fundraising functions.
  • Works closely with the fundraising team and sends all fundraising documents for review and approval before submitting.
  • Follows up with donors and prospective donors when necessary, and sets up appointments with senior staff. Arranges for on-site and clinic tours for donors and prospective donors.
  • Travels to clinics on an as-needed basis to meet with donors and assist with marketing, communications, and media activities, as well as capture patient and volunteer stories through photography, videography, and interviewing for impact reporting
  • Develops and leads all other fundraising projects and initiatives as requested.
  • Collaborates with other departments to support fundraising campaigns or overall mission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Nonprofit Management, Communications, the Humanities or other related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in fundraising
  • Experience using Salesforce Non-Profit Success Pack and/or Pardot is preferred
  • Ideal candidates should be computer proficient, and have:
      • The ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines
      • A pleasant and professional demeanor and a “can do” attitude
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, G Suite, and other desktop applications
      • A desire to work in a team environment
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability a must
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies, processes, and trends in the sector
  • Willingness to travel as well as work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required
  • Photography/Videography skills preferred, but not required

Salary Range: $38,000 – $42,000 based on qualifications

Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Clinic Manager, and serves as a part of the Operations Team.

Job Responsibilities       

  • Building and maintaining healthy strategic relationships with direct supervisor, personnel, volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support
  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all federal and state rules and regulations governing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), X-ray compliance, and any other regulations that may apply to Remote Area Medical
  • Work with Operations Team to identify and correct potential areas of non-compliance and anticipate future compliance requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge and continue education on laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Ensure issues are identified, investigated, and resolved
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Effectively communicates with external entities as necessary to address compliance matters
  • General office duties, including but not limited, to copying, filing, faxing, check requests, mailings, typing of correspondence, conference call scheduling, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, creating and maintaining files
  • Performing tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-year or more experience as a Medical Compliance Specialist or Paralegal (Prefered)

Veterinary Clinic Coordinator

The Veterinary Clinic Coordinator reports directly to the Veterinary Clinic Manager and serves on the Operations Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain healthy strategic relationships with direct supervisor, personnel, volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives
  • Maintain a constructive team unison with the Clinic, Volunteer, and Development Teams to execute the mission of RAM by working closely with the assigned Clinic Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Development Team members
  • Train, support, and serve the Veterinary Community Host Group (VCHG) leadership in fulfilling their functions and objectives, which include but are not limited to pre-clinic (i.e. site inspection), during clinic (i.e. clinic operations), and post clinic support (i.e. VCHG debrief)
  • Assist in mobilizing, recruiting, securing, and serving Veterinary Community Host Groups, volunteers, and health care professionals; record data as needed, build necessary reports from veterinary clinic operations, as directed
  • Recommend program opportunities, processes, procedures, policies, and methods to improve relations and functions of department objectives
  • Supervise and act as the point person at all assigned independent veterinary clinic events, activities, and operations over all staff, regardless of internal organizational command structure
  • Maintain familiarity with clinic event concepts, practices, and procedures and excel in relationship building and clinic execution; oversee all independent veterinary clinic events as the manager of the clinic
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks as directed by the department head
  • Perform tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team

Education Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Relevant higher education, work, or volunteer experience in a related field is preferred.
