Remote Area Medical (RAM) is thrilled to announce we are currently seeking Volunterns: enthusiastic and resourceful people who wish to dedicate their summer or semester to helping others and learning about various aspects of non-profit health care work.
RAM is a charity that provides completely free, high-quality dental, vision, and medical care to the underserved throughout the US and across the globe. Our mobile clinics treat hundreds and even thousands of patients over the course of several days, utilizing a small army of volunteers to treat patients.
There are a variety of Voluntern positions available at RAM Headquarters, listed below. You will gain valuable, hands-on experience in a fast-paced, exciting environment while helping RAM fulfill its mission of alleviating pain and preventing suffering by providing free quality care to those in need.
This is an unpaid position, and most duties will be performed at Remote Area Medical Headquarters in Rockford, TN just outside of Knoxville. Volunterns will have the opportunity to travel to certain clinics with the staff. Volunterns must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.

This program includes the prevention and control of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.
Communications volunterns will be able to work in social media outreach, graphic design, video editing, and website development. These areas are integral to expanding our reach and ensuring our growth in the long-term. Please specify any experience you have with certain software or programs.
